2. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and timely financial information
  • Supply all necessary documentation for BAS, payroll, or reporting purposes
  • Ensure business records comply with ATO and legal requirements
  • Review documents and reports provided to you
  • Maintain backups of your own data

We are not responsible for errors or delays caused by incomplete or inaccurate information supplied by the client.

3. Payments & Billing

  • All fees and payment terms will be stated on your invoice or engagement agreement
  • Invoices are due by the stated due date
  • Late payments may result in paused services
  • Additional work, revisions, or urgent requests may incur extra charges

4. BAS Agent Responsibilities

As a BAS agent, Diamond Bookkeeping Services complies with the:

  • Tax Agent Services Act 2009 (TASA)
  • Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) Code of Professional Conduct

While we take reasonable care, the client is ultimately responsible for the accuracy of information supplied for ATO lodgements.

5. Confidentiality

We maintain strict confidentiality of all financial and business information, except where disclosure is:

  • Required by law
  • Requested by the ATO, TPB, or regulatory authority
  • Necessary to provide services (e.g., sharing with your accountant)

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law:

  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses
  • We are not liable for losses caused by inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the client

Our liability is limited to the re-supply of services or a refund of service fees (as per Australian Consumer Law)

8. Termination of Services

All outstanding invoices must be paid up to the date of termination.
